Ace Liftaway | Making Waste Work

All non hazardous waste that we collect is brought to our Waste Recycling and Grading Facility. This facility is also available for tipping by other licenced waste carriers. We are licensed to receive 380,000 tonnes of waste per year and are currently recycling approximately 90% of the waste received.

The waste is sorted by our recently commisioned recycling and grading facility supplied by British Manufacturers LJH and supported by mobile plant manufactured by JCB. This facility operates safe working practices for all our safe reducing personal risks and utilises the most up to date technology to deliver products of a consistant quality ensuring you confidence every time we deliver. Our recycled products assist with green credentials and give financial benefits when compared with primary products.

Ampfield Parish Council, along with the Deputy Leader of Test Valley Borough Council – Martin Hatley, approached Ace Liftaway with a request for us to look at assisting them in the reclamation of a piece of disused waste ground in the corner of the cricket and recreation ground.

The cricket ground also dropped away dramatically making a large part of the ground unusable for sports events. With the success of planning permission Ace Liftaway were successful in winning the project.

With the construction of an all weather road along with deployment of our Komatso 16 tonne bulldozer we then began with the importation of our recycled 40mm soil which had been approved by the recreation committee. We then brought the levels up with the assistance of a surveyor who was also project manager with responsibility for overseeing the quality of the materials. In total 28,000 tonnes of 40mm soil was used.

Prior to completion Ace Liftaway provided a further 2,000 tonnes of 6mm screened soil enabling a quality tilth for the grass seed to take and also enable a safe play area for children.

This has enabled not only the local residents to have a fully usable recreation area to enjoy with their family and friends but also the local village school can now enjoy the benefits of a full-sized playing field which the school have the use of.

All our products can be collected from the Recycling Centre or delivered by waste services.
